The “Why is this item in my Tackle Box?” thread.
I put them in my tackle box just in case. Wouldn't want to throw away some perfectly good o-rings, cause you never know. Might come in handy. But yah I've never used them I remember having a great idea for fishing a set rod off the pier where I would leave my bail open and tuck a loop from my line under a rubber band I kept wrapped on the handle.

Planer board releases - Michigan Sportsman Forum
I use them and once you figure out how to load them they work just fine. Fully adjustable for lite release when dragging crawlers or tighten them up for dragging cranks at 2.5 sog.

Traverse Bay Tackle Rods - Michigan Sportsman Forum
Traverse Bay Tackle did not go out of business. When word got out that MC was starting their fishing/hunting stores, the owner of TBT negotiated the sale to MC. I knew the TBT owner quite well. The sale included the TBT name and inventory, but not the building. It never really was the same even though MC said it was going to be.
